Denise Bennett Speaks to NC Treasury Management Association
Distinguished Panel Features Experts in Relationship Banking
February 6, 2009 – Denise S. Bennett, president of DS Bennett Business Strategies, was a featured panelist at the February 5, 2009, meeting of the North Carolina Treasury Management Association (NCTMA) held in Winston-Salem. NCTMA is the state chapter of the Association of Financial Professionals, widely regarded as the most prominent member organization for the banking and financial industries.
The four-person panel entitled, “Strengthening Relationships by Partnering with Banks,” included representatives from corporations, large banks and small business.
Panel organizer and NCTMA member Lynne Walker said, “I wanted to create a dialogue among different constituents, and Denise was the perfect addition. She has an incredible breadth of experience—she’s been a banker, she is a business owner and an advisor. She can pull ideas together from various perspectives.”
During the panel, Bennett engaged the audience with real-world scenarios. She illustrated how banks could build stronger relationships with small businesses by understanding their particular business management issues. “Denise is candid and it’s obvious she knows what she’s talking about,” said Walker. “It was clear, as she shared examples, that she is upfront, honest and practical about advice with her own clients.”
“Denise is a rare person who has both a remarkable base of knowledge and the ability to hold people’s interest. It’s a true gift,” added Walker.
