“As a business owner, it can be difficult to separate business and personal decisions,” said Beverly R. Murray, entrepreneur and owner of R+M, a Cary-based branding agency. “With four different properties in play, we needed an outside, knowledgeable person to help us set priorities that met our goals without sacrificing personal finances for business needs.”

That person was Denise Bennett.

Bennett began by helping Murray assess her overall financial picture, the market trends, tolerance for risk, and timing.

Ultimately, Bennett provided multiple scenarios and developed a final plan that included: replacing a residential investment property with a commercial property, refinancing a current commercial property to lower the monthly mortgage commitment, leveraging existing equity to fuel acquisition of new revenue-producing commercial property, and refinancing a current residential property to fund a renovation.
